There are two castles within walking distance. Kumburk with a viewing platform ensuring an unobstructed circular view and Bradlec standing somewhat to the side of greater interest. The view from Ždár near Kumburek to Bradlec is also captured in the well-known film Kuky se vráci, which was filmed here. Žďár itself is a quiet village, although attractive tourist locations such as Prachovské skály, Jičín, Trosky, etc. are practically at hand. Come fight!
