Tourist cottage Ropička stands on the eastern slope of the peak Ropička (918 m.n.m.), which rises northeast from the foothill village Morávka and in the Těšín Beskydy. At the cottage is a signpost of green and red hiking trails. Follow the red trail from here to Malá Prašivá (706 m above sea level) or in the opposite direction to the tourist cottage Slavíč. In the northern direction, first follow the green trail and then follow the yellow trail to the village of Řeka. If we follow the green southwest direction, we reach the village of Morávka. A hiker who starts from the railway station Dobratice Pod Prašivou (track No. 322 between Č. Těšín and Frýdek-Místek) along the red marked hiking trail, after 5.5 km of walking, first through the village and then by unpretentious climb, to the cottage Na Prašivé . The cottage belongs to the Czech Tourists Club and is very well known. It is not laid high - only at a height of 706 m.n.m. The attraction of this tourist facility is undoubtedly a stuffed bear. It has been here for many years and was supposedly caught right in Beskydy. Next to the cottage we can see another building, which is a wooden church of St. Anthony from 1640. The cottage crosses a total of 5 hiking trails. If you follow the red trail towards the mountains, after 4 km you will reach another Kotař hut (800 m). 2 km away is then the most famous cottage, Ropička. We will reach it if we continue further from Kotor along the red trail. A tourist going from Prašivá towards Ropička, walks on a mountain ridge that stretches beyond Ropička and over the peak of Velký Lipový (1003 m), heads to its highest point. This is the top of Ropice. With its height of 1,082 meters, it is the highest peak in the part of the Beskydy Mountains, which we call the "Těšínské" Beskydy Mountains.
