A stylish log cabin with a sauna, a bathing barrel and a wine cellar is located in the beautiful countryside of the Beskydy Mountains on the Gruň ridge near the village of Staré Hamry. Originally an old rural school, it is one of the oldest preserved buildings on the ridge since 1911. You can look forward to the positive energy of the place and the genius loci with a unique view of the Malá Fatra Mountains. In the vicinity there are a number of cycle paths, groomed cross-country trails and a ski slope with night skiing is 100 m from the accommodation. The log cabin offers accommodation for 16 people in 6 attic bedrooms. There are a total of 2 double bedrooms with a private bathroom and a cot, 1 triple bedroom with a private bathroom and 3 triple bedrooms without a bathroom. The double bedrooms are equipped with a double bed and the triple bedrooms are with a double bed and a single bed. The dominant feature of the log cabin is the large common room, formerly a school classroom, with the original tiled stove, dining table, sofa, period piano, guitar and large projection screen. The interior is complemented by elements from the old school - school blackboards, educational noticeboards, drawings, etc. The log cabin also includes a beautiful, fully equipped school kitchen with a serving window - a ground coffee machine with coffee, kettle and tea, microwave, hob, oven, extractor hood, blender, raclette, grill, fridge with freezer, sets of larger and smaller pots. There is a pantry with shelves where you can find basic spices. In the attic there is another common room with a sofa and TV. There is also a games room with table football and board games. You can relax in a classic sauna for 4 to 6 people. Bed sheets and essential oils are available. The sauna relaxation room is located in the wine cellar. Refreshment after sauna use in the autumn and summer months is provided by a wooden barrel in the yard or snow in winter. In the original school cellar you will find a wine cellar with seating and a selection of wines from Czech winemakers. Sanitary facilities: All bathrooms have a shower, sink, towels, soap, shampoo and hairdryer. The log cabin also has one bathroom on the ground floor by the sauna and one shared bathroom in the attic. These bathrooms have a sink, soap, hairdryer and towels. The log cabin has three separate toilets, two on the ground floor and one in the attic. Heating is provided by electric heating. By arrangement, it is also possible to heat the old tiled stove in the school classroom. Around the cottage there is a mountain natural garden with beautiful views of the surrounding hills. There is an outdoor terrace with an outdoor kitchen, grill, fireplace and a bathing barrel. There is a sandbox and swings for children. You can also play badminton and table tennis. The log cabin is located in one of the darkest places, so you can look forward to stargazing in the evening. You can park directly at the property. There are 4 parking spaces on the sloping road or you can park for a fee in the public parking lot. In winter, snow chains are required. In the vicinity of the log cabin, there are opportunities for hiking, cycling, swimming, mushroom picking, fishing, skiing and cross-country skiing. Nearby are tennis courts, a golf course, bike and scooter rental. Swimming options include: Ostravice - Sepetná Swimming Pool, Frýdlant nad Ostravicí Swimming Pool, Velké Karlovice Thermal Pools, Horní Bečva Reservoir, Bečva Biotope Swimming Pool, Baška Reservoir, etc. Nearby ski resorts include Ski Resort Gruň, Gruňský Ledovec Ski Slope, Ski Resort Bílá, Ski Visalaje and others.
