Chalupa Sklářská is located in the very heart of the Jizera Mountains, less than 5 km below the popular Protrená dam in the village of Desná. The cottage has been completely renovated with an emphasis on preserving the original elements. The cottage is newly completed by a glazed wellness area with a Finnish sauna and a rest room. The dominant feature of the cottage is a functional tiled stove with oven, original wooden ceilings and renovated wooden furniture. The two-story cottage comfortably accommodates 11 people (capacity can be increased to 14 by arrangement) in 4 spacious double to quadruple bedrooms and offers 3 toilets, 2 bathrooms, a dressing room and a heated ski/bike room. On the ground floor there is a cozy sitting room with a sofa, a tiled stove and a kitchen. The ground floor offers a bedroom for 3-4 people. Upstairs you will find 3 spacious bedrooms: 2 bedrooms with three to four beds, 1 double bedroom. Each bedroom offers a double bed. The bedrooms for 3-4 people are equipped with a 120 cm wide bed, on which two children can comfortably sleep, or can be used as a sofa. On the first floor, there is also a children's corner with board games and toys and a reading room equipped with restored armchairs by Jindřich Halabala. Both the ground floor and first floor have a spacious stylish bathroom with toilet, and there is also a separate third toilet on the ground floor. The bathrooms are lined with beautiful retro tiles and offer generous showers. Hair dryers are a matter of course. The ground floor of the cottage (sitting room, room, toilet, bathroom and dressing room) is heated by underfloor heating for your maximum comfort. In the sitting room, you can warm yourself with pleasant radiant heat from the tiled stove. Stylish cast iron radiators with thermal heads are installed upstairs. Both the first floor and the ground floor can be controlled by thermostats according to your needs. The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen, including a fridge with freezer, dishwasher, convection oven, electric hob, kettle, microwave, stick blender and, last but not least, a high-quality bean-to-coffee maker. You won't find a TV in the cottage, but we offer high-quality fast Wi-Fi coverage, interesting books, board games, puzzles and beautiful nature right behind the house. The cottage is equipped with fire and smoke detectors. Both the cottage and the ski storage room are protected by a security device connected to the central protection desk. The parking lot is monitored by a camera system. Next to the cottage, there is a lockable heated ski storage room and a bicycle storage room with enough sockets for charging e-bikes or servicing skis. The cottage is strategically located directly on the tourist route leading to the Mariánské schody in Albrechtice, less than 2 km from the starting point for cross-country skiing and less than 4 km from the popular winter and summer resort Tanvaldský pičák. There is a private forest behind the house, 50 m from the house you will find the clear river Bílá Desná. There are also 4 lookouts within walking distance of the cottage. The parking lot right next to the cottage can accommodate up to 5 cars in summer and winter and offers an 11 kW charger for owners of electric cars. The parking lot is accessible directly from the road, which is maintained all year round. In the summer months, you can use the grill and comfortable seating in the yard behind the house. The fireplace for lovers of roasting dumplings is located in the garden near the forest. In the village of Desná there is a local supermarket with regional food (2 km), in Tanvald, 5 km away, you can shop at Lidl, Billa and Penny. There are a number of artisan bakeries and organic farms within a 10 km radius, which we would be happy to personally recommend. You can, among other things, store the purchased food in the granite cellar, where it will maintain the right temperature throughout your stay. For larger groups, it is also possible to rent a stylish maisonette apartment for 2 people. The apartment is directly adjacent to the cottage and has its own separate entrance. The apartment is fully equipped and offers, among other things, a massive bed made of old beams or a stylish bathroom with stone and copper elements.
