The surroundings are interwoven with a number of hiking and cycling trails leading, for example, to the famous Svět and Rožmberk ponds. Apartments u Chmelů offer accommodation for 13 people in three separately rented apartments with their own kitchen and bathroom. Apartment no. 1 and 2 are equipped and have the same layout and have a capacity for 5 people. Both apartments have one four-bed bedroom (2× single bed and 1× double bed) and one living room with a sofa bed (1x extra bed), dining table, TV and fully equipped kitchen (ceramic hob, electric and microwave oven, fridge with freezer, electric kettle, dishes for basic food preparation, toaster and dishwasher). Both apartments have a bathroom with a shower and toilet. Apartment No. 3 with a capacity for 3 people is located on the ground floor and has barrier-free access. The apartment consists of one main room, which has a double bed, a sofa bed (1 extra bed suitable for a child) and a kitchenette equipped similarly to the previous two apartments. The apartment has a spacious bathroom with a shower and toilet. A cot can be provided for all apartments upon request. The windows of the apartments are equipped with blinds and mosquito nets. A hairdryer, fan for hot summer days, clothes dryer and iron are available for rent. WIFI internet connection is available throughout the building. Heating is centrally solved using radiators. Outside, all accommodation can use a garden seating area with a grill. Children will appreciate the sandbox. There is a bicycle storage room. Parking is available directly at the building. In the vicinity of the building there is the possibility of hiking, cycling, swimming, mushroom picking and fishing. There are tennis courts nearby. There is a pond about 400m from the apartment where you can swim or fish. A permit can be purchased directly in the village. There is also a multi-purpose playground in the village, accessible free of charge. For families with children, there is a new, modern playground and one smaller playground near the apartments. Swimming options include: Svět pond, Opatovický pond, Spolský pond, Dunajovice quarry, Rožmberk pond, Nový Lipnický pond, Podřezanský pond, Cep sandpit, Borovany - Lazna swimming pool, Třeboň Aurora swimming pool, etc. The Blanský forest protected area, Novohradské mountains, Lužnice river with canoe and raft rentals, Český Krumlov or Hluboká nad Vltavou attract tourists for trips in the surrounding area.
