A cottage near Trosky Castle, located close to the village of Hrubá Skála (home to a sandstone rock city and a chateau) in the Turnov area, within the Bohemian Paradise Protected Landscape Area (CHKO). The cottage can accommodate up to 9 guests across 2 bedrooms. A separate section of the property is available for rent; the owners use the other, completely separate part of the cottage (typically only on weekends). DESCRIPTION: Fully equipped kitchen (including a dishwasher), dining area, wood-burning stove, and TV. Main bedroom: 1x double bed (box-spring style), 1x double bed, and 2x single beds located in a mezzanine area. Second bedroom: 1x double bed and 1x single bed. A walk-in closet is also available. Bathrooms – Main bedroom: bathroom with a shower, two sinks, 2x toilets, amenities for young children (child toilet seat, step stool, potty), and a hair dryer. Second bedroom: bathroom with a shower and 1x toilet. Heating: Wood-burning stove and electric space heaters. Parking is provided directly on-site. The surrounding area offers numerous castles and chateaus to visit (Trosky Castle, Kost Castle, Valdštejn Castle, Hrubá Skála Chateau, Sychrov Chateau, and Dětenice Chateau—the latter hosting an extensive program during the summer months). The location is ideal for cyclists, hikers, and families with children alike. Rock formations and viewpoints: Prachov Rocks, the Besedice area, the Hrubá Skála area, the Rieger Trail, and the Bozkov Dolomite Caves. For swimming, you can head to the Jinolice Ponds, or the outdoor pools in Turnov or Sobotka. We look forward to welcoming you!
